Actual Problems of Kartvelology is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of the Kartvelian Linguistics, Culture, and History.
The journal serves as a primary forum for scholars to present original research that deepens our understanding of the Kartvelian Scholarly Traditions.
The journal aims to:
- Advance scholarly discourse on the unique linguistic and cultural identity of the Georgian people.
- Promote interdisciplinary research by bridging the gap between historical analysis, linguistic theory, and cultural studies.
- Preserve and document the intangible heritage, dialects, and folklore of the Georgia
- Provide an international platform for both established researchers and emerging scholars to share innovative findings with the global Kartvelological community.
The Scope The journal welcomes original research articles and critical reviews the following areas:
- Linguistics: Diachronic and synchronic studies of Kartvelian languages, dialectology, and corpus linguistics.
- Literary Criticism: Analysis of classical and contemporary Georgian literature, including hagiography and secular poetry.
- Folklore & Ethnology: Research into oral traditions, mythology, rituals, and the material culture of the Georgians.
- Historiography & Archaeology: Investigations into the political, social, and medieval history of the Caucasus.
- Cultural Studies: Studies on the development art, music, socio-political and philosophical thought of the Kartvelian Society.
