Georgian, as a Heritage Language Courses for Georgians Living Beyond the Borders
The second round of the free, 6-month Georgian as a heritage language classes, organised by the N(N)LE Tariel Putkaradze International Society of Kartvelology for ethnic Georgians living in the territory of Turkey has been finalised. At the end of the course, our students have passed the final exam (A1 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and received certificates.
Georgian Ambassador, Mr. Archil Kalandia has taken part in the ceremony of awarding the Georgian language certificates to the Georgians living in Samsun (Turkey), signed by the scientific supervisor of the Tariel Putkaradze International Society of Kartvelology - Prof. Dr. Manana Tabidze and the director of the Georgian language classes for ethnic Georgians living in Turkey - Tinatin Milorava, a linguist researcher at the Kartvelology Centre named after Tariel Putkaradze and invited lecturer at Akaki Tsereteli State University . The courses were co-managed by the members of the Georgian community in the city of Samsun, Turkey: The director, Mr Eyüp Elmas, the members, Mr Sinan Yavuz and Mr Cemal Sertasi.
Free courses for learners of Georgian as a heritage language for ethnic Georgians living in Turkey will be renewed from April 2026.
